DALLAS, TX, April 22, 1998 -- Allegiance Telecom, Inc., a Dallas-based competitive local exchange carrier, announced today that Bruce Jenner has been named Director of Promotional Marketing and will serve as the Company's commercial spokesperson.
Jenner, winner of the gold medal for the Decathlon during the 1976 Olympics, has spent the last 22 years carving out a successful career as an entrepreneur, author, motivational speaker and commercial spokesperson.

Jenner is active in many civic affairs and has received numerous awards during his illustrious career, such as The Sullivan Award for outstanding performance as an amateur athlete and the Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year. He was inducted into the Olympic Hall of Fame in 1986.
